About Setapak Piano Store, Where it all Began

Over 30 years in the industry and persistently strive for excellence.

The history:

Pusat Muzik LKS Setapak Sdn Bhd (Reg No: 767237-X), was founded by Mr Lai Kim Seng back in the year 1984.

His vision, determination and dedication have brought him great success, earning him a strong reputation in the music industry in Malaysia.

Starting from a small business consisting of only two staff, the company has now emerged and revolutionised to over 40 qualified piano technicians specialising in reconditioning, restoring and supplying of used pianos.

Our Strength:

Mr Lai and his team hand-picked their used pianos from Japan, reconstructing them locally and then distributing it throughout Malaysia and neighbouring countries. Rest assure that all the replaced components (especially performance related parts e.g. hammerheads, piano strings etc) are mostly from Japan.

With the technical skills and experiences acquired over all these years, we (Mr Lai and his team) are able to restore an old used piano to its BEST possible pristine condition, as good as the originals but at a more affordable price.

We carry a few of the more popular Japanese brand pianos in the market, mainly Yamaha and Kawai. Other than distributing recon pianos, we also provide the following piano services as well:
